How to create a UPI QR code for your shop

Add the business details customers should recognize, choose whether the amount is open or fixed, and generate the QR in your browser. The payer still reviews and authorizes the request inside their UPI app.

Verify the UPI ID and displayed payee in a real payment app before printing or sharing the QR widely.

1

Enter business payment details

Add the UPI ID and recognizable payee or outlet name that customers should see.

2

Choose how the amount works

Use an open amount for a reusable counter QR or enter a fixed INR amount for a known bill.

3

Generate and verify

Scan the QR in a compatible UPI app and confirm the payee, amount, and note before using it.

4

Download and display

Download PNG for sharing or SVG for crisp printing at a shop counter, table, stall, or invoice desk.

Made for everyday collections

One business UPI QR for the way your outlet gets paid

Use the generator as a shop UPI QR maker, a fixed-amount payment QR, or a digital payment link for a specific customer. Money goes to the UPI ID encoded in the QR; Entwicklera does not receive or process it.

Retail and kirana counters

Keep one open-amount QR at the billing counter so each customer can enter their purchase total.

Cafés, restaurants, and stalls

Place a scan-tested QR near the till or use a fixed amount for set-price menu items and combos.

Freelancers and service businesses

Create a fixed-amount QR with a short invoice or booking reference, then send the PNG digitally.

Fees, events, and collections

Use a fixed amount for standard fees or leave it open when the payer should choose the contribution.

Add the QR to a complete payment workflow

Create the bill first, then generate a matching fixed-amount QR with the invoice number in the payment note or reference.

Pick the right payment request

Open amount vs fixed amount UPI QR

Open amount: best for a shop counter

The same QR can be reused for changing bill totals. After scanning, the customer enters the amount and checks the payee before paying.

Fixed amount: best for a known total

Include the INR amount for an invoice, booking, fixed-price item, membership fee, or service charge. Generate a new QR when it changes.

Print and display checklist

Keep a counter QR easy to scan

  • Download SVG when the QR will be enlarged for a poster or standee.
  • Keep the QR dark on a clean white background with its border intact.
  • Show the business or payee name beside the code for customer confidence.
  • Avoid folds, glare, blur, stickers, or artwork over the QR pattern.
  • Scan the final printed copy and confirm every payment in your provider records.

UPI supports QR-code and intent-based payments. Read the official NPCI UPI overview. Entwicklera is not affiliated with NPCI or any UPI app.

FAQ

UPI QR questions from shops and businesses

Can I create a UPI QR code for my shop or business?

Yes. Enter the UPI ID and payee name you use to receive business payments. Leave the amount open for a reusable counter QR, or set a fixed amount for a specific bill, product, service, or fee.

What information is stored in a UPI QR code?

The QR contains a UPI payment link with the payee UPI ID and name. It can also include an INR amount, payment note, and transaction reference.

Can the customer enter their own amount?

Yes. Select the customer-entered amount option and the generated payment request will omit the fixed amount, allowing the payer to enter it in their UPI app.

Does the QR work with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and BHIM?

The generator creates a standard UPI payment intent designed for compatible UPI apps. Always scan-test the finished QR in the apps your customers use and verify the displayed payee details before printing it.

Can I print the UPI QR for a shop counter?

Yes. Download SVG for the sharpest result at any print size, or use the 512-pixel PNG for digital sharing and small counter prints. Keep a white margin around the code and test the final printed copy.

Does this tool confirm that a payment succeeded?

No. A QR code only starts a payment request. Confirm receipt in your bank or payment-provider records before delivering goods or services.

Are my UPI details uploaded?

No. The payment link and QR files are generated locally in your browser and are not uploaded to Entwicklera.

Is this a payment gateway or settlement tracker?

No. The tool creates a payment request QR only. It cannot verify the UPI ID, confirm settlement, issue refunds, or reconcile transactions automatically. Use your bank, UPI provider, or payment gateway for those functions.
